The History

Before It Was
Boulder Creek

Boulder and Lorenzo were rival towns a mile apart—one a rough logging camp, the other a would-be high-society outpost. By the time they merged, nobody had really won. But while the rivalry was still hot and the hillsides were raw with fresh-cut stumps, the locals just called it Stumptown.

From 1875 to 1908, the wooden flume ran lumber from Boulder Creek to Felton. It was also the deadliest ride in the valley for the loggers who dared to surf the chute at ungodly speeds. No leashes. No backing out.

Stumptown Supply exists to keep those stories on people's backs. This is gear for the people who know that Boulder Creek isn't just a pitstop on the way to the beach.

Stumptown Supply started behind the counter at The Redwood Keg. David came for the extra shifts—his daughter had college to pay for—and ended up reconnecting with the people who make this place what it is.

He's a special ed teacher by trade, but after enough conversations across the counter, he started digging into the old stories: the flume, the feuds, the drive-in nobody remembers. The shirts are just a way to keep the lore in circulation.

Terms of Service

Effective Date: January 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and placing an order with Stumptown Supply Co. (operated by David Ramos-Beban), you confirm that you are in agreement with and bound by the terms of service contained in the Terms & Conditions outlined below. You need to be at least 18 years old to make a purchase on this site.

2. Nature of Business (Print-on-Demand)

We operate as a design studio utilizing a Print-on-Demand (POD) model. This means:

  • We do not hold physical inventory of most items.
  • When you place an order, the manufacturing is performed by our third-party fulfillment partner, Printify.
  • Shipping times are estimates provided by the carrier and our fulfillment partner, not guarantees.
  • We currently ship only within the United States.

3. Shipping & Risk of Loss

Once the carrier (USPS/UPS) marks an order as "Delivered" to the address you provided, the item is legally yours. We cannot be held responsible for packages that wander off (or get stolen) after they’ve been safely delivered. If the carrier loses it before delivery, we'll help you get it sorted.

4. Limitation of Liability

We act as a "pass-through" entity for data and fulfillment. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Stumptown Supply Co. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, resulting from:

  • Service interruptions caused by our third-party providers (Stripe, Printify, Resend, Brevo).
  • Data breaches occurring on third-party servers outside of our direct control.
  • Delays in shipping or fulfillment caused by carrier disruptions.

5. Intellectual Property

All artwork, designs, and graphics on this site are the exclusive intellectual property of David Ramos-Beban / Stumptown Supply Co.. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or sell any of the designs found on this website without express written permission.

6. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of California, United States, specifically regarding the sole proprietorship of David Ramos-Beban in Santa Cruz County, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Santa Cruz County, California.
